Sheraton Towers

One of the wedding process which I enjoyed was searching for a hotel and glad to found mine here. Boy, I have to say Sheraton Towers is one wedding workshop you have to go! According to the website, they served light refreshments..... but look at their "light refreshments"!

Yummy Desserts

Food from wedding Menu

We had a satisfying lunch and was really full with all the wonderful food. There is laksa too and it was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it. We also went to The Dining Room to check out their lunch buffet (also at Sheraton) and well....what can I say? The food at the wedding workshop is way much better than The Dining Room. Ah,hence this is really one wedding show you have to go!

Well... if you are interested to know, Sheraton Towers's perks offered are too good to be true! Trust me.

Here's why...

They have literally covered all the perks combined from every 5 star hotel in Singapore to the point that I frankly didn't know what other stuff which I could bargain for. However, after looking through the list repeatedly, I managed to increase my carpark coupons to 30% and wedding cards to 75%. The max which we could stretched. The best part of all is the free 3 night stay offered during roadshow at another resort owned by the hotel. It's insane man! =-O I also like the fact that they have their special signature Sheraton mocktail, it was so good that the man and I could not stop drinking glass after glass.

Last but not least was the waterfall area, perfect place to do my solemnization! But the minus point is, if it rains then the $500++ which all money paid will be forfeited and a small function room will be replaced instead.

Some pictures of the solemnization area...

Things I learnt from this process..

1) If you have friends who are drinkers, aim for every wine per table. If there is free 1 barrel of beer, pray your perks include an additional barrel. Ask for free waiver of corkage for wine, champagne and beer.
2) If you are given additional night stay, request to use it for your anniversary or use it on another day because then at least there is something to look forward to. Request for early check-in and late check-out . Check if you could it to clock points if you are a member too! Something I found possible when visiting the hotels, it is possible to request for the helpers room to include a night stay. That makes me you having a room and an additional room which you could get your families or friends to stay!
3) Roughly plan your guest list so you know at least how many tables you are inviting. Very important when you attend hotel fairs because number of tables determine the hotel you are choosing.

Searching for hotels can be tiring because there are so many things to take note of.
-number of people
-ballroom (high or low ceiling)
-food
-long/short march-in
-themes
-perks
-location/accessibility

Some of the themes shown for 2013/2014.

Lastly, a shot of the 2 L-shaped ballrooms joint together. The high ceiling is the one which we will be using (max is 20 tables), if you have more than 20 tables then it will be extended to the low ceiling ballroom. Sheraton works this way, even if you have 20 tables (which is the minimum for lunch), they will still keep the low ceiling ballroom empty and open it up for you in case you have more guests coming in at the last minute (when nearer to the date).

Can't wait for 2014!!!

  1. Hi, can I check when exactly did you attend the wedding workshop and if you are quoted $500++ for the waterfall area for solemnization? Thanks!
